NOTE: ALL rental and decor FEES are due 30 days before event (January 24, 2024) is to take place, unless agreed upon. Due to the nature of our business and financial responsibilities, we rely on booking these very limited calendar dates. If you cancel your event, you are still responsible for THE RENTAL AND ANY DECOR FEES no exception. Baby Showers: In the case of an early birth or required bed rest for our moms-to-be, as a courtesy we do extend the possibility to hold a welcome baby or sip-n-see event to be schedule and held on a Friday available in our calendar. This in order to provide a courtesy to solution to an unforeseen situation and will be at Mariposa Event Decor’s discretion. If the client chooses to waive the option to hold the event, they will forfeit all fees.

ALCOHOL-
You are welcome to bring your own alcohol. However, serving of alcohol and monitoring of alcohol is your responsibility. In order to keep peace we are required to have a police officer when it is being served. The City of Pasadena officers provide your security and their rates are based on date of event. They are paid directly upon arrival, in cash. Their rate starts is $150 for standard 3 hour coverage. If your event finishes early, you are still responsible for the officers fee as they arranged their schedule to fulfill your need. Let us know if your event will not last the full time of the rental. - CLIENT HAS SELECTED NOT TO SERVE ALCOHOL AT EVENT.

LIABILITY-
Pleases note that by purchasing this listing, you agree to hold harmless, Mariposa Event Decor + Studio from any dispute in the event you or your family become injured during the hall rental. Mariposa Event Decor/Studio will not be held liable for any illness or injury that may occur before, during, of after your rental as well as any property damages. You also agree to be responsible for any damage made to the facility, including chairs, tables, flooring, walls, counters, fridge, sinks, speaker, microwave and coolers. Decorations are not allowed to be tacked on wall with pushpins, tacks or anything that will cause damage to the wall. If any damages are present, renter is responsible at 100% of replacement cost. Thank you for choosing us to hold your event and helping keep our little space safe!
WEATHER POLICY
We expect our events to occur rain or shine and make every effort to ensure that happens. However, safety is of great importance. In the event of adverse conditions (tornado warning, tornado watch, thunderstorm, heavy rain, or any other extreme weather conditions), the renter is responsible for the decision of a cancellation. If the event continues as planned, renter is 100% liable for any injuries, damages or issues per the contract. If there is utility interruptions, road closures or any weather affecting issues, Mariposa Event Studio is not responsible. Events that are cancelled due to weather conditions will not be refunded as we have no control of weather policy. The final decision to cancel or delay the event is solely up to the studio renter. In addition and as a courtesy, we may be able to provide an allowance of a new date based on our “postponed available dates”, these will be provided as needed. Thank you for your continued support.

DEPARTURE-
Please turn off both AC units. Switch the panels to off. One is next to speaker & other next to mini fridge.
Turn off all lights both main area & restroomS
Leave cooler lids up
Empty out all food items and beverages. No food down sink, please. Grease trap can’t handle food items and extra fee will be assessed if we must have it professionally cleaned at a rate of $250
Please place pink cones inside.
Locking up the studio: The key is left in the lockbox on the main door. To access key, please follow these instruction: Press down “C” to clear. Enter provided number combination. Slide the latch button. Release the door. The door will pop open when it's pressed at the lower end. Retrieve key. Close both doors one to the left, single door and main double door. Place key back in lock box. Big thanks for keeping our studio safe!
